  • I grew up in the Hudson Valley, smack in the middle of New York City and the Catskill Mountains. Although I love nature and told myself I’d never live in the city, I moved to Brooklyn after college for work and almost 10 years later, I can’t seem to leave.

    I have been working in graphic design for about 7 years now. I did not go to school for it; I went to college for public relations and realized it wasn’t exactly what I wanted to do until I was already graduating. I worked in marketing jobs out of college that allowed me to dabble in my love of graphics which transitioned me into graphic design roles. I’ve worked cross-functionally across many different industries such as finance, tech, luxury travel, health and fitness, and nonprofits.

    Wanting more education in my career, I completed an intensive 700+ hour course in UX/UI which included hands-on projects, completion of 4 in-depth portfolio projects reviewed by industry leaders, and weekly 1:1 industry mentor calls.

    My goal was to gain a more in-depth understanding of design, focusing on the “why" versus just a pretty graphic. A good design isn’t good design without reason. I’ve enjoyed learning new methods and technologies to design a more memorable user experience and I am excited to put my new and old skills into practice in the UI/UX world.

  • Photography

    I have always loved taking photos! I’m always on the move and enjoy taking in the scenery around me. A little touch-up in Adobe Lightroom doesn’t hurt either.

  • Adrenaline Activities

    Skiing, ziplining, bungee jumping, biking in NYC. My fun fact is that I’ve been skydiving three times - one of them was pretty crazy. Ask me!

  • Dog Walking

    Dogs are one of my biggest passions! I have my own dog sitting hustle and I also work as a Sitter Coordinator for Pawfect For You where I help dogs be a part of their wedding day! Check out my dog walking Instagram where I pretend I’m the Dogist - @walkwithdrea.

    I like to bake a new recipe on Sundays so I can have a sweet treat to enjoy all week long.

  • Strawberry Lady

    During the summer, I help out at the Union Square Green Market where I sell strawberries. During the winter, I help make bows for wreaths.

  • Hiking

    Mountains are hard to get to in NYC so when I can’t get there, I like to walk an absurd amount, like from the tippy top of Manhattan to the very bottom.

  • Embroidery

    My current fixation. I’ve been making these little dolls from Kiriki Press and I’m obsessed. I enjoy hands-on hobbies that can be a bit repetitive.

  • Skiing

    I’ve been skiing since I was three!

  • Solo Travel

    I’ve been into solo travel the past few years. I’ve gone to a few places in the US, as well as Costa Rica. Planning a trip to Vietnam this winter!
